The Voice of Silence
By Don Iannone

Of all the voices within
that I love to hear,
silence is golden to my ear.
Of all the voices
that coach, criticize, and cheer,
silence is most clear.
Her voice so sweet--
whispers loud above the roar,
Forever right
no matter the chore,
silence gets my ear.

I had to check on the title of
your poem Don... as I was afraid
I might have written a poem on
silence with the same title...
whew... so glad it is not the
same... similiar though.
I feel better now!
