The Voice of Silence
By Don Iannone
Of all the voices within
that I love to hear,
silence is golden to my ear.
Of all the voices
that coach, criticize, and cheer,
silence is most clear.
Her voice so sweet--
whispers loud above the roar,
Forever right
no matter the chore,
silence gets my ear.

Rob.... :)
Silence is bliss!
Beautiful poem!
Margie...it is! Thanks.
Mmmm. I like this one *a lot*. Silence gets my ear ... Very nice indeed. :)
Thanks Renee. It gets my ear when I listen...
yes... the sounds of silence... (hmmm does that remind you of a song?...) there is no-thing as sweet as True silence... all rises with in That...!
Thanks Don...!
Yes indeed, Kathleen. Simon and Garfunkel. Memories! And I agree with you...
Deep silence.
Imemine...deeper the better. No Inner Critics heard at that level.
I had to check on the title of
your poem Don... as I was afraid
I might have written a poem on
silence with the same title...
whew... so glad it is not the
same... similiar though.
I feel better now!
No problem Margie. I'll have to check out yours. Thanks.
Yes it does!! Good poem Don!!
