Testosterone
By Don Iannone

There are times when I think
this world would be better off,
if evolution made a corrective course change,
putting an end to testosterone.
Think about it: a world without war, murder,
and assholes on airplanes,
who think wearing a business suit
entitles them to push and shove people,
just to get to their first-class seat.

PS: Can you tell I was pissed off by some guy pushing and shoving
past others in line to get to his seat on the airplane?

You write very beautiful Don. Albeit that some will probably feel offended with some poems of late, but than again: Is it not all testorone around the clock?

Where are those oestrogens they say men have too? :-)

Bernadette...Thanks for your comment. Did you find this particular poem offensive? I hope not. It was kind of a poke in the eye at men who believe bully behavior is acceptable.

Thanks Homo Escapeons. I don't usually write "poke in the eye" poetry, but I had to get this one off my chest.

the peocess of evolution has rectified its blunders in the past Don. It may do it again wiping off the entire human race if the process finds humans are a blunder of evolution.

It's not the testosterone. It's society trying to make sure every individual has more than his fair share of the goodies.
Don't worry, everybody will get what he desires.

Well of course with so many females on the birth-control pill - and traces of this pill getting into the water supply men now have lower testosterone levels.
Also high levels of alcohol consumption reduces testosterone too.
I like your angry style by the way!

Thanks for commenting, Rob and Imemine. What can I say? Poetry too is an outlet for whatever arises in the mind and therefore reflects one's mental state.

LOL, I loved it, lol. Get it out, Don, by all means, lol. And it is effective and good poetry, even better, a real poke in the face. Yep, life is like that, would that it would change. Here is hoping.
