Second Take on Streisand's The Way We Were
By Don Iannone

Untold memories
of the sort
making us remember
how we were.
Like a song
lingering in the heart
we remember
one last time
how we were.
So long
we longed
for just a taste
of the good times
and less those we opt forget.
Somewhere deep
there lies an answer--
the one we can't but hear
in our heart.
And always
there are the memories
of how we were.
