Dreams Reveal the Dark Side
By Don Iannone

More dreams...
informing me about my psyche,
and its journey toward self-understanding.
This time...
they tell me how my dark side continues
to assert itself in my life journey.
This time...
it is an old black car--
an Edsel I believe--
running into my shiny new red car.
No serious damage done--
just another temporary disruption
in the journey homeward.

Thanks Yim, jel, and Polona. Lately I have been remembering my dreams...which is a good thing. I learn a lot from my dreams.

Jel, the journey homeward is an expression meaning my journey in life to achieve higher self-understanding and live that truth.

Tim, Jung would say...vehicles are symbols in life for our life and the form it takes. They represent how we see our lives and how they manifest.

Polona, yes it is pay attention time.

Dreams, they always tell us something, a good poem. One to make us think. What about a vehicle of old wisdom (black/wise old car) hitting our temporal being!?:)

Wow ...what can I say...you inner soul is talking upon finding reason of your existance..Do I make sense

Thanks Nasra and Borut. Much appreciated comments.

Nasra you make perfect sense, and Borut that could be, but what I "feel" about this dream is to be aware of my dark side from the past...accumulated beingness that has carried over in this lifetime and before. Actually the old car punctured the radiator of my red car...reminding me maybe not to overheat...

Yes, Don, it must be what you feel, I like to interprete dreams, but then there is always this personal feeling of the dreamer! Actually, your dream could apply to me as well. My dark side is colliding with my present all the time? Thanks for reminding me of this situation.

Thanks Borut and Gel. Appreciate your comments. Dreams are powerful. Give yours a look if you haven't.

Dreams reveal the dark side...

Indeed!

how would otherwise we express our not so good actions in past or some X experiences. it's better done in dreams. and i think we learn to forgive ourselves too.

You dream with a deep insight.
