In the Moment: Sunday 5:02 PM
By Don Iannone

Thin wind-swept clouds
grace powder blue sky
stretched overhead
like a sheer linen canopy.
Mind in spacious expectation
becomes pure sky
absent all form,
resting formlessly,
rising from here to there
only to fall again to here.
Expectation ceases.
Powder blue sky opens,
releasing self
into foreverness.

Another beautiful poem from you Don!
This one I will think about as I head out for a little stroll.
It tells me about freedom to "just be"
I loved it!

Yep, I think that is the Pure Spirit state in words >>>
Always hard for us to imagine form other than the human form we presently and temporarily inhabit.

I often contemplate the shapes of clouds in the sky, and they are almost like formless (unbound) cohesive beings floating in the sky making themselves momentarily visible to those willing to take the time to look

Now there's a conscious thought I share here with you...
and all who visit here ...

Thanks Margie, Quasar9, and Andrew. Appreciate your comments. This one is purely experiential. It's one of those poems that self-writes itself. Blessings.

"Mind in spacious expectation
becomes pure sky" I particularly like. That's what it feels like all right.

Simply beautiful. I can feel my own release as I read your words. I am reminded of childhood when I would lie on the grass and gaze up into the sky and study the clouds or the clear blue, and feel that sense of oneness with the universe. Another beautiful gift from you Don. Have a glorious day.

Sky like a canopy.....what a thought. Like we all are together camping somewhere. I love looking into the sky with clouds making different shapes, it gives me peace when I gaze up into the sky. Will do so again tonight. Thank you for the poem

Dumbdodi..thanks. Good to have you back. So many cloud lovers that visit here. Me too. Clouds and poems have a lot in common in terms of causing us to reach inside for meaning and purpose.
