Signs of an Early Spring
By Don Iannone

Sunset lingering brunt orange
in steadfast February clouds, hovering
in azure sky, poised
to receive nothing less
than an early spring, quieted
by the lack of opposition from
a fast-moving winter, trundling
toward April, when
early wildflowers sing, and dance
their way through winter's final remains.

Our imaginations take us beyond the mundane into the sublime. Good to remember on a cold, grey day.

Really good, Don, in lots of ways.
Among other things, I like how you've arranged the lines. Nice!
