April Snow
By Don Iannone We file federal income tax returns next week
and it's still snowing and cold in Cleveland.
Six inches of wet whiteness
dropped on the area
over the past couple days.
Temperatures dive-bombed
from the high 70s to the mid 20s
in the past week.
The daffodils have succumbed
to the suffocating slush of winter.
Baseball games across the midwest
have been called off
because pitchers are throwing snowballs
instead of fast balls.
Mother Nature knows her business
much better than I do, but
how ever will the Easter Bunny
hide those colorful eggs under budding tulips
that are nowhere to be seen?

HOPPY EASTER DON!
and I like the other 2 posts!
blessings
If it can be of some solace Don, then here in Belgium it's very sunny and warm.
And then to consider that this weather did found its origin in the west, meaning from the eastern shores of the U.S. and Canada, and the Atlantic Ocean. But, it's a high pressure area that luckily doesn't want to leave for the time being.
Nevetheless, it would be regarded a miracle if this type of weather could return to where it came from, as to my knowledge it never has done so before, only to keep on going to the east, evaporating in thin air, or become squeezed between other high and/or low pressures. Still, please Don, don't pray for that weather to go on a travel into the wrong direction.
It's too sunny over here, as many are already longing for that soft summer breeze to gentle caress everyone's face and body, soon to come hopefully, not exploding into a barbecue in July like the year of before, and neither into a swimming pool in August, in the same year that has already gone.
Man can be tricky creatures, but nature will surely always have its answers right on the spot, especially for those who are in a desperate need for a cold shower, only, it sometimes goes a bit to far into the extreme. But who is to blame, we or nature?
happy easter!
