April Haiku 3
By Don Iannone

wistful marbled clouds
Kurt Vonnegut will be missed
a legend is gone

early morning sun
too soon for shadows in life
a crow in my dream

sweet scent of lilac
intoxicated crow laughs
too good to be true

Thanks Polona, Andrew, and Kai. Kaiku is a new form for me so I'm just experimenting.

Hi Don
It's been a while since I've visited...I've missed all your wonderful poetry.
Like this post....wonderful!
Gosh, I think Ive read almost all of KV's books....he surely will be missed.
And, I'll miss you...
I'll be posting a poem in a few days...finally!
Then I'll be saying goodbye for a while...probably till the Fall.
I just don't have the time now to attend to my blog or visit blogs.
I hope you'll stop in for a visit when I post my poem....
Till I see you again...take care!
Enjoy life and keep on writing all the wonderful poems!

Margie:)

Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. Haiku is new to me. To say the least, it is different, but I feel like I could get the hang of it.

Margie, so good hearing from you. I hope things are well with you. I will look for your special poem.

Aurora, thanks. Never wrote tried tanka. Maybe I should look at it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Kilgore, Polona, Floots, Nasra, Pat...thanks so much.

Kilgore has a nice ring to it. You must be the clothier here in Cleveland by the same name, OR you are KV's alter ego...
