Hiked up to Raven's Ridge yesterday; slogging thru the snow that fell on the last day of summer and thru the falling aspen leaves. And what a beautiful and colorful vista: all different shades of green and yellow, the blue sky, the varying shades of white Northern New Mexico clouds, the clouds shadows passing by. Sitting on the quartz outcropping with the chipmunks and the gray jays... ahhh... Took my camera along, thinking that I'd get a gorgeous shot. The camera wouldn't work... alas; had to just enjoy it in the moment...

Well Dan...you did find God. How neat! Snow? Wow...I guess that will happen here in a couple months. Your hike sounds simply divine.
