The Battle of Musts and Wants

Duty calls, I must leave you,
I'd rather write poetry any day,
but my work beckons me,
Some days it's a real struggle,
trying to balance what I want and what I must,
It's especially hard on beautiful summer mornings
that invite you out into the streaming sunlight to play,
Once in a while, it is perfectly ok
that you must do what you want to do.
