Saturday Thought: What Shall We Believe

Some say we are experiencing a "crisis of belief" in the world.
I am not so sure that is the problem as the presence of a
wide array of beliefs. It's hard to decide who and what
to belief.

This advice helps me in making the personal choice in
this regard:

"Believe nothing merely because you have been told it...
Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of
respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination
and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit,
the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to and
take it as your guide." --Buddhist Aphorism
