Letting Go on the Beach

It's never easy to release
the angst you've taken
a lifetime to grow inside,
It's always hard to say no
to what you've said yes
to during your whole life,
But you reach a point when
the weight of your personal
baggage is unbearable, then
and only then, do you let go,
I watch as the shifting sand
and seashells so happily give in
to the outbound waves sucking them
in the ocean, why can't I
do just the same?
