Goodbye Sweet Amelia
By Don Iannone
Gliding through the water,
the dolphins give us one
final reminder: that the
Divine takes form in living
things, and that grace
swims within each of us,
We listen deeply, and hear
only the gentle roar of the waves
lapping on Amelia beach,
The sand still between our toes,
we bid farewell, for now, to this
treasured sanctuary by the sea,
If God had a daughter, and He does,
her name would be Amelia.
