A Sunday Wrapped in Nature
By Don
Peace finds us
resting beneath Holden's towering oaks,
Monarchs and black-eyed susans
kiss gently in the mid-afternoon sunlight,
Even a hyper-active squirrel
pauses to catch the flower-scented breeze
that makes shadows dance around us,
Slowly what really matters
seeps into our consciousness.
