Candle on the Window Sill

Through the eye of the candle
my world regained focus.
Cloaked in new-found hope
dripping tears of joy
something inside me--
shifted, and turned upward.
I saw all--
that I ever wanted to know
in the flickering eye of the candle
on the window sill.
