no answers remove the pain
one disturbed young man
guns blaze, blood spills, souls depart
thirty-two innocent lives gone

First Tulips

first tulips open

we close all around to see

a new world appears

spring is no small miracle

our hearts fill and the tears flow

yellow goldfinches
feverishly feed on thistle
sprightly sweet voices
rise like the ocean tide
clouds hitchhike across the sky
