Heaven: Come and Go as You Like
By Don Iannone

Heaven's doors are always open
...and all we have to do
...is walk in.
Too often
...we make the Holy too hard
...and too complicated.
Heaven's doors are open to all
...and receive all
...wishing to journey inward.
You can enter any time
...and leave any time.
Reservations are not required
...and no early withdrawal penalties apply.
You may be dying
...to go to heaven
...but remember there is no need
...to die to get there.
The greatest thing about heaven is
...there is nowhere to go
...and nothing to do.
For me, that's the best part.

I agree - "we make the Holy too hard and too complicated."

Andrew ... thanks for stopping by. Good and God get confused in western culture. Just one little "o" separates the two. We also struggle with holy and wholly. Not much separating them. Better to live a good and whole life than a godly and holy life

I think the trouble is that most of us are afraid of what heaven might offer and also far too attached to our troubles.
I guess we need to pray for help.

Yeah... how we've made what is natural and simple and easy into some distant and complicated thing to strive for is a mystery.

Exactly there is nowhere to go. Its here ... we just need to awaken to the heaven.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I think the words are.
Great post Don as usual. :o)
