Morning Glory
By Don Iannone
Looking east,
seeing
a glowing tangerine sun
rise through
thick late September clouds,
and finally
allowing
its fire to fade
and marble yellow and gold
throughout the perfectly still lingering clouds.

A Sunrise Beyond Words
By Don Iannone
Morning clamoured her way
into being one fine June day,
Such a picture she painted
so much beauty we nearly fainted,
With salmon pink, yellow, orange and blue
she appeared quickly and suddenly I knew,
A sunrise sketched so perfectly true
Never will words quite describe the view.
