Power of Love
By Don Iannone
Moved by a river of tears
straight from the heart,
flowing freely,
filled with compassion
for those who suffer.
No magic wand
to wave over the world,
but loving kindness
powerful enough
to still hearts
tormented and ruptured
by neglect and broken promises.
It's simple.
Just care.
That was beautiful Don!
ReplyDeleteSo much caring and compassion
in the poem... like you!
Thanks Margie, and you as well.
ReplyDeletedon,
ReplyDelete"caring" lost its "meaning" now, I guess. "Carnage" struck my mind.
We should all care, no more magic needed. Just care is the solution.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite lines 'Moved by a river of tears' and 'by neglect and broken promises'. Such heartfelt poetry
Thanks ufukhati. Nice poetic lines you strung together.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dumbdodi. Yes, it is about caring. "I care" says so much to me about the position of one's being in relation to the whole of the universe.
Beautiful, Don! (And everyone else)
