Short Poetic Breaths
By Don Iannone

1
Browning leaves
crisp morning air
book your seat for winter.

2
Twilight
light to dark
many shades of gray in life.

3
Far off
inside you
truth is nested.

4
Very early morning
no birds
only silence sings.

Wonderful Don!
But, I am not ready
to book my seat for winter!

Not quite yet!
I did enjoy the very early morning
when I took my walk and

the silence did sing!

Have a wonderful weekend Don!

don,

The third stanza of your poem touched on "truth".

I wrote these lines in one of my poems :

"Truth is more potent
than gem."

Oh those shades of gray!

Blessings to you, Don. Beautiful piece, as usual.

Thanks Travis (welcome back), Serenity, Dumbdodi, Ukukhati, Margie, and Kathleen.

As you hopefully figured out, the four are separate short breaths, but all from the same source.

Blessings!

I love Haiku...I wish I can master them more naturally

Hope all is well on your side

Nasra...thanks and welcome. Not Haiku...just very short poems. Close to Haiku though. Hope you are well. It's been work, work, and more work for me...

My favorite is definitely #4. It's the least didactic and, to my ear, has the greatest depth. Thanks for posting these short gems, Don.
