Old Dreams Like Rainbows Fade Away

Old dreams fade
in and out of focus
like vaporous rainbows
arching their backs in the sky.
My dreams of being anything
more than I truly am
are not far behind the rainbows,
losing themselves forever
in clear blue expectationless sky.
