Meditation on Letting Go of Fear
By Don Iannone

Happiness, love, and peace
are my true nature,
Fear, pain, and suffering
get in the way
of my ability to lead
a happy and authentic life,
My life is what it is,
and I accept it
for exactly what it is,
My fear grows
from my lack of faith in the universe
to provide for me,
as one of her children,
I have the inner strength
to let go of the angst
that troubles my mind and heart,
I have faith in myself,
and trust the power
that truly knows within me,
I release my fear and suffering
and the wants and desires
that underlie them,
In their place,
I receive the abundant love
that exists
within the universe
and within me,
I give thanks for the
peace and tranquility
that exist within me,
I will use this peace
for the benefit of others
I encounter along
my path today.
Namaste!

    Almost Druidical

    tossing away ...
    troubles & cares
    doubts & fears

    Have a pleasant evening!

  10. Namaste :-) Its so nice to be greeted like that.
    'I receive the abundant love
    that exists
    within the universe
and within me'- We have to tune ourselves to receive these transmitions or on second thoughts undo the tuning we are set, go back to our original specifications to reach out to this abundance of love

  15. I will add to the above a remark regarding your 'about me' description. I think it so true that 'we teach what we ourselves need to learn in life' even though it is sometimes initially unconscious.
I was trained to be a counsellor and I discovered this for myself.
It's also true, I have learned, that the things that really iritate us in others is related to what we dislike about ourselves.
    Great piece of work Don.

  17. You seem to have a very willful approach to life and enlightenment. Nothing wrong about it. But can you really ban or get rid of the many negative aspects or things in life?

  18. Imemine...Thanks. Interesting observations. There is a very willful side to me. Always has been.

Good and bad remain judgments, as we've talked before. I try to do more observing and releasing what flows through me as opposed to trying to stop, rid, or ban things in my life. Most are illusions my own mind creates. And you?

  19. Amen! I really need this determination and will right now. Best, rama

  20. Don,
The will, if there is such a thing as such seems to be the weapon of the ego. The more we use it the more egoistic we become. There seems to be a lot of ambition behind willful action. Just a theory.
Passive awareness helps me to endure. But when I have to act I act spontaneously out of total awareness. But of course I am armed with the resolutions you are talking about.
