Seashore Haiku
By Don Iannone

1
walking on the beach
releasing what was held back
the waves splash new hope

2
mountains of seashells
standing tall to what is true
make the right life choices

3
coffee on the beach
the day breaks gently on us
hearts stretch in the sun

  4. Thanks Kathy...you live near the beach. You are lucky! Nice haiku back to me. (Smile)

Kathleen...no beaches in Colorado...not lake beaches either. Yes, the beach is a total sensory experience...makes you want to write poetry.

James...thanks. You write beautiful haiku. I am taking notes from you.

(By the way folks, James was a featured poet today. Check out this poetry blog. Click on his name in his post and you can find the story. Congratulations James.)

  11. Those are simple and straightforward, I find them to be very much 'art'. I like them all and appreciate their directness.

  12. Jim...in haiku, less is more. It's a great reminder for me in life.
